\nJackson and Woodward Houses are the main boarding houses that cater for our boarders in Years 7 to 11.
\nThe Jackson and Woodward House buildings overlook Sydney Harbour and are architecturally in keeping with the Sacred Heart ethos and heritage. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with reverse cycle air-conditioning, wireless connectivity and contemporary furnishings.
\nWe encourage the girls to develop independence in their study routines and to enjoy and contribute to the community in which they reside. Our recreational program makes the most of the KRB campus facilities to ensure the boarders have a healthy balance in their lives.
\n\nSheldon House is a purpose-built facility designed to support our final years students to achieve their academic goals. All Year 12 boarders reside at Sheldon House.
\nThe accommodation at Sheldon House is modern and spacious with single, double and triple bedrooms overlooking Sydney Harbour and isolated from the bustle of the main school.
\nThis separate housing provides our Year 12 girls with an optimal environment for study and relaxation as they manage the demands of their final year of school.
\n\nWe welcome International Students to join our KRB boarding family. As members of our boarding community, International Students are encouraged to participate in the cultural and sporting life of the school, alongside other boarders and day students from all over NSW.
\nAll international students have the opportunity to study their home language, either through their studies at KRM or through the Saturday School of Community Languages. Chinese (Mandarin) is offered as an elective language for all students from Year 5-12.
\nWe also provide EALD support through specialised classes for elective subjects in Year 7-10. For Years 11 and 12 we offer EALD and Fundamentals of English courses. These classes are run by experienced support teachers.
\nAll boarding students, including international boarders, can also access our tutoring program in the library each afternoon.
\nWe recognise the importance of open communication between families and staff. So, for all parent-school communication, we ensure that there are translators available as required.
\n\nYour daughter will be well supported with pastoral support through both the boarding house as well as academic and cocurricular programs. This includes Year Coordinators and Pastoral Support Mentors, Heads of Boarding House, Counsellors and the International Students Coordinator.
\nWe strongly adhere to the ESOS (Education Services for Overseas Students) Act. We regularly inspect homestays and maintain open channels of communication with your daughter’s nominated local support person.
\nAs a boarder, KRB is your daughter’s home away from home. We provide her with a warm and welcoming environment in which she can realise her full potential. This includes an extensive cocurricular program of choir, music, orchestral and sports, including badminton.
\n\nAs a school, we celebrate the individual contribution of each student, of which cultural diversity is an important element.
\nWe celebrate key events such as Lunar New Year as well as cultural diversity lunches, activities and assemblies. We also provide opportunities for our students to share and represent their culture. We have a Head of International Students role on our student leadership team as well as a Cultural Diversity Committee and Captains.
\n\nThe KRB principal regularly visits overseas locations to both connect with current parents as well as KRB alumnae.
\nThrough the Sacré Cœur Association of NSW, our students and alumnae are connected with our global network of Sacred Heart Schools. Once your daughter graduates from Kincoppal-Rose Bay she will be a part of this global network for life.
\n\nWe are your daughter’s home away from home and so we strive to support her in all areas of her life.
\nPastoral support is readily available through the boarding house staff. We also foster strong peer networks so the girls can seek support and friendship amongst their fellow boarders.
\nKRB boarding boasts an Integrated Leadership Model where teachers are integrated within the boarding staff. This allows students to have academic support in their homework sessions and during weekends. Boarders can also arrange private consultations with teachers and tutors if they require further academic support.
\nThe KRB homework and study centre is available to all KRB boarders to enhance their learning. Our boarders have access to a range of modern learning resources both in the homework and study centre and in the boarding house.
\nThe whole campus, including the library, is available to boarders until 8.30pm every day.
\nKRB’s HSC Class of 2021 was ranked 28th in the state by the Sydney Morning Herald and the School was the top performing independent Catholic boarding school in NSW.
\nThe Boarders from the Year 12 Class of 2021 showcased great results with 56% achieving an ATAR above 90, and 68% achieving an ATAR above 80.
\nAt KRB we focus on the personal and academic growth of our students. Each year, we recognise students who show the greatest academic growth in their learning. This year 3 out of 7 students who were awarded this, were boarders from rural NSW.

\n\nThe health and wellbeing of our Boarders are our main priority. The Health Care Centre (HCC) is open 8am-7:30pm from Monday to Thursday and 8am-5pm on Fridays during the school term. The HCC is run by the KRB School Nurse. All boarders have access to the HCC for any health concerns.
\nA program of healthy and inclusive activities weeknights and weekends is offered to boarders to encourage healthy habits.
\n\nLeadership within the KRB boarding house is something we encourage our boarders to aspire to.
\nLed by a Year 12 Head Boarder and the Head of Boarding SRC, our Boarding School Student Representative Council is made up of members from each year group.
\nWe also offer additional opportunities for boarders of all year groups to advocate on behalf of their peers as members of the Food Committee. They can also participate in building and sharing faith practice as members of the Liturgy Committee. Year 11 boarders self-nominate for the role of Big Sister, an integral role within the boarding community that promotes supportive friendship, advocacy and wellbeing amongst boarders.
