\nThis year marks the\u00a050th Anniversary of the Amalgamation\u00a0of two schools, Kincoppal, Elizabeth Bay, and Rose Bay Convent. Each of these Sacred Heart schools had its own rich history and culture but shared one mission and one vision, and in 1971, with the Amalgamation became one school:\u00a0Kincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart with the motto, \u2018Cor Unum\u2019, One Heart and One Mind.

\n\nLoretto Crowe and I won the senior doubles in 1963. Still a real thrill.\u00a0 Loretto was a year ahead of me and our lives went in quite different directions when we left school until we met up at an alumnae reunion in Melbourne in the mid-1990s. After that, we started to play tennis again until I returned to Sydney in 2000. Our close friendship has continued ever since.\u00a0

\n\nTo enrich every girl\u2019s boarding experience, we have a structured activity program of carefully considered, age appropriate activities.
\nThe activities are designed to appeal to a wide range of interests and abilities and support the varying needs of our boarders. The activities are not compulsory but for the girls who do participate, they have the opportunity to forge and strengthen their friendships with each other.

\nRecreational leave is an important way we encourage independence in our boarders. Girls can visit the local shopping precinct on weekday afternoons and senior boarders can access dinner passes on weekend evenings.
\nBoarding weekend leave is also very flexible to encourage our regional and international boarders to spend time with visiting family and friends.

\nKincoppal-Rose Bay School offers several scholarships and bursaries, providing full or part remission for academic tuition or boarding.
\nStudents who receive these scholarships or bursaries will make a strong contribution the life of the School, in areas including academia, service, sport, creative and performing arts and leadership.
\nAll candidates for scholarships and named-bursaries must sit the Academic Scholarship Test.\u00a0(School-based bursary applicants are not required to sit the exam). This examination is held at Kincoppal-Rose Bay and can be accessed remotely for those living in some\u00a0 regional areas or overseas. All candidates should also attend a KRB Discovery Morning or complete a school tour before sitting the test, to confirm their interest in our School.
\nScholarships and bursaries are highly competitive and not all candidates who meet the basic criteria will be shortlisted. A Scholarship and Bursary Committee decides on those candidates who best meet the criteria.
